Services – Project 15:13 https://project1513.org Restoring Faith With Camaraderie Fri, 09 Dec 2022 20:35:36 +0000 en-US hourly 1 https://project1513.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/favicon-90x90.png Services – Project 15:13 https://project1513.org 32 32 Veterans United https://project1513.org/services/homeless-veterans/ Thu, 28 Sep 2017 07:36:14 +0000 http://project1513.org/?post_type=cpt_services&p=307 Many of our Veterans have served foreign and domestic. These men and women have served by each other through some of the toughest times of their life. They found comfort in their comrades during their time of service trusting them in many areas of their lives. One of the biggest areas that Veterans learn to trust one another is the concept of no man nor women left behind. They trust that their brothers and sisters will bring them home and never leave them behind. That is where we’ve noticed that once the Veteran gets home, we then tend to forget them once they’re home. We forget the trauma they’ve encountered during their time of service. We forget the transition the soldier may be struggling with when returning home, especially from a foreign location and a time of war.

Our mission at Project 15:13 is to restore that camaraderie we once knew and trust in one another to work through our struggles while home. We want to give that shoulder to lean on during these struggling times for these Veterans. Our goal is to prevent depression and anxiety while helping the Veteran work through the current issues they’re facing and to restore their faith. We want to use these small groups of Veterans to support one another, to have someone to lean on, hang out with, celebrate milestones, and give one another faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. It’s our goal to remove these Veterans from suffering from depression and anxiety without the use of medication. It’s really important that we don’t lose front side focus on our Veterans, we must all have a group we can count on to have our six!

Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited.

Family Adjustments https://project1513.org/services/family-adjustments/ Thu, 28 Sep 2017 07:35:47 +0000 http://project1513.org/?post_type=cpt_services&p=306 Our current enlisted soldiers and Veterans returning home find themselves unable to adjust back to their civilian lives. When they return home from deployments it’s hard for them to understand their role in their family’s lives. Their family was living without them present for 6-12 months. These soldiers can find themselves full of anger, anxiety, depression, and feeling lost. Dealing with this can be very stressful on their spouses and especially their children. They can find themselves attending anger management, counselling sessions at the VA, or consulting with friends and family but still unable to find the issues causing this discomfort living a civilian lifestyle. Our mission here at Project 15:13 is to help soldiers struggling with these emotions to find trust and faith in the Lord and help deal with these issues they’re facing. Our soldiers deserve the understanding they need to help make the necessary adjustments to live a happy family lifestyle.

12For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.

Entrepreneurship https://project1513.org/services/entrepreneurship/ Thu, 28 Sep 2017 07:33:48 +0000 http://project1513.org/?post_type=cpt_services&p=305 Personnel who served in our Armed Forces learn unique skill sets to allow them the ability to become entrepreneurs. They earn the ability to provide services at extremely high levels. We believe these Veterans need to make the most of their training and skills to provide great services to the public. Project 15:13’s founder started his IT company from his basement in 2012 with barely any money in his pocket to support his family. He knew he had a skill and the values to start a successful business. 10 years later, his IT consulting business is doing great and now he’s started Project 15:13 to help other Veterans do the same.

Lazy hands make for poverty, but diligent hands bring wealth.
