Veterans United – Project 15:13

Veterans United

Many of our Veterans have served foreign and domestic. These men and women have served by each other through some of the toughest times of their life. They found comfort in their comrades during their time of service trusting them in many areas of their lives. One of the biggest areas that Veterans learn to trust one another is the concept of no man nor women left behind. They trust that their brothers and sisters will bring them home and never leave them behind. That is where we’ve noticed that once the Veteran gets home, we then tend to forget them once they’re home. We forget the trauma they’ve encountered during their time of service. We forget the transition the soldier may be struggling with when returning home, especially from a foreign location and a time of war.

Our mission at Project 15:13 is to restore that camaraderie we once knew and trust in one another to work through our struggles while home. We want to give that shoulder to lean on during these struggling times for these Veterans. Our goal is to prevent depression and anxiety while helping the Veteran work through the current issues they’re facing and to restore their faith. We want to use these small groups of Veterans to support one another, to have someone to lean on, hang out with, celebrate milestones, and give one another faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. It’s our goal to remove these Veterans from suffering from depression and anxiety without the use of medication. It’s really important that we don’t lose front side focus on our Veterans, we must all have a group we can count on to have our six!

Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited.
